I just installed a new glove box, and new glove box light kit. It all mounts nice and looks good, but I dont have a place to plug the light harness into. Im assuming there should be a female plug that this hooks up to right? All lights work except Dash and taillight. Fuses were good. is a tail light relay
relay?
Is this a good question?
Comments:
i have the same issue dash light and parking lights dont work i need help bad
Celica 1993 it's the relay switch drivers side pull cover back and just above the fuses is two red relay switches it's the one on the right I did it last night and then all light and dash lights came on
The relay behind the glove box was out of the socket and I had to push it in to make the connection. My 2007 Matrix tail light would not work. Fuse was okay and bulbs were new. The hardest part of the job was to find the fuse boxes and relay box (fuse box underneath hood, under driver side and relay behind glove box).
I have a 1992 Nissan maxima my tail lights don't work, I checked the fuses and the bulbs are good. The relays under the hood I checked and there also good. Tail lights still don't work. Brake lights and headlights work also. Any tips for me
If you like the look of the ambient light kits that come with many cars today (or just need a bit more light for seeing inside your glove box), modder KonaStar shows us one way to do it yourself with some LED lights.
This mod isn't for the faint of heart, as it involves really getting into your car's interior (not to mention more than passing knowledge of electronics). He uses a Honda Fit, but with a bit of ingenuity you could likely use his instructions to springboard a version for any car. It lights up the footwells and the glove compartment, the latter containing a switch that turns the lights off when the glove compartment is closed. It's cooler than it is useful, but if your glove box is difficult to root through in the dark (or if you're prone to dropping things on the floor), it could be worth more than the 'oohs' and 'ahhs' you get from your friends. Hit the link to see how it's done.
